LONG ISLAND SUPPORT GROUP FOR MADOFF VICTIMS
WEEKLY SUMMER SESSIONS JULY-AUGUST

Join a confidential and professionally led support group to discuss the impact of this crisis upon your lives. This group will be lead by Dr. Freshman, PhD., Dr. Freshman, herself a victim of the Madoff event, specializes in trauma and recovery issues. She has a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University and received her Doctorate at NYU having completed her dissertation on the intergenerational transmission of trauma in Holocaust Survivors. She is an adjunct faculty member at NYU. The Madoff support group will meet for at least 6 sessions and focus upon personal coping strategies.
Monday Evenings (7:30-9:00 PM) Start Date: July 6th
Thursday Noon (12:00-1:30 PM) Start Date: July 9th.

Dr. Freshman encourages all Madoff survivors to join an online support group that addresses the emotional needs of its members. This is a safe place to release pent up emotions and discuss the changes in day-to-day living. It is not intended to replace other websites devoted to the magnificent advocacy efforts.
